dhcp max-sessions

Function

The dhcp max-sessions command sets the maximum number of DHCPv4 users that are allowed to access a specified board of the device.

The undo dhcp max-sessions command restores the default setting.

By default, the maximum number of DHCPv4 users that are allowed to access a specified board is determined by the type of the board.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Scenario

To set the maximum number of DHCP users that are allowed to access a specified board, run dhcp slot-id max-sessions user-number command.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
The dhcp slot-id max-sessions user-number command does not take effect on the inter interface board trunk interface (the command takes effect on only the trunk sub-interfaces residing on the master interface board). Run the port-access-limit command to configure the maximum number of users that are allowed to access a network through the inter-board trunk interface.
The command is not advised to run in inter-board trunk scenarios.
