The dhcp option-61 default-not-insert command configures the device not to encapsulate the Option61 field into packets.
The undo dhcp option-61 default-not-insert command cancels the configuration.
By default, the device encapsulate the Option61 field into packets.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
If packets sent by users that attempt to go online do not carry the Option61 field, the dhcp option-61 default-not-insert command can be used to disable the device from encapsulating the Option61 field into packets.
Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
If the option-61 hardware-type command is configured on the BAS interface, the device encapsulates the Option61 field into packets based on the option-61 hardware-type command but not the dhcp option-61 default-not-insert command. After the undo dhcp option-61 default-not-insert command is run on the BAS interface, the device encapsulates the MAC address in the hexadecimal format into the Option61 field.
