Function

The dhcp reply-packet option82 location strict command configures the NetEngine 8000 F to encapsulate Option 82 behind all options in the DHCP Offer and ACK messages replied to DHCP clients.

The undo dhcp reply-packet option82 location strict command restores the default configuration.

By default, the device encapsulates the options delivered by the RADIUS server behind all options in the DHCP Offer and ACK messages replied to DHCP clients.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

By default, the device encapsulates the options delivered by the RADIUS server behind all options in the DHCP Offer and ACK messages replied to DHCP clients. To allow the device to communicate with devices that require Option 82 to be encapsulated behind all options, run the dhcp reply-packet option82 location strict command.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
