dhcp option82 inner-vlan insert enable

Function

The dhcp option82 inner-vlan insert enable command encapsulates Option 82 information into both the inner and outer VLAN IDs of a double-tagged user packet.

The undo dhcp option82 inner-vlan insert enable command restores the default configuration.

By default, Option 82 information is encapsulated into the outer VLAN IDs of a double-tagged user packet.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When users go online from a Layer 2 interface or a VLANIF interface and device interworking and upgrade exist, run the dhcp option82 inner-vlan insert enable command to prevent user online failures caused by inconsistency between Option 82 information in the inner and outer VLAN IDs of a double-tagged user packet.

Prerequisites

Either of the following operations has been performed:

  • If a user goes online from a Layer 2 interface, the function to insert Option 82 into packets has been enabled using the dhcp option82 insert enable or dhcp option82 rebuild enable command in the interface view.
  • If a user goes online from a VLANIF interface, the function to insert Option 82 into packets has been enabled using the dhcp option82 insert enable [ interface interface-type interface-number ] or dhcp option82 rebuild enable [ interface interface-type interface-number ] command in the VLAN view.
