diameter-dwr

Function

The diameter-dwr command configures the number of dog-watch-request (DWR) probe packet retransmissions and a probe timeout period.

The undo diameter-dwr command restores the default configuration.

By default,the number of DWR probe packet retransmissions is 3, and the default probe timeout period is 15s.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

diameter-dwr { retransmit retry-times | timeout second } *

undo diameter-dwr { retransmit | timeout } *

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
retransmit retry-times

Specifies the number of DWR probe packet retransmissions.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 5. The default value is 3.

timeout second

Configures a probe timeout period.

The value is an integer ranging from 3 to 25, in seconds. The default value is 15.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The number of DWR probe packet retransmissions is fixed at 3, and the probe timeout period is fixed at 15s, to flexibly configure the number of DWR probe packet retransmissions and a probe timeout period, run the diameter-dwr command.

Prerequisites

Diameter must be enabled for the diameter-dwr command to take effect.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Set the number of DWR probe packet retransmissions and a probe timeout period to 5 and 20s, respectively.
