Function

The display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command displays traffic statistics about VPWS PWs.

The display traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command displays VPWS QoS traffic statistics.

The monitor traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command monitors VPWS QoS traffic statistics continuously.

Format

display traffic-statistics l2vpn [ qos ] pw interface { interface-name | interface-type interface-number } [ secondary | bypass ]

monitor traffic-statistics l2vpn [ qos ] pw interface { interface-name | interface-type interface-number } [ secondary | bypass ] [ [ interval interval-value ] [ times { times-value | infinity } ] | [ times { times-value | infinity } ] [ interval interval-value ] ]

Parameters

Displays VPWS QoS traffic statistics on the specified interface.

Displays VPWS QoS traffic statistics about the secondary VPWS PW.

bypass

Displays VPWS QoS traffic statistics about the bypass VPWS PW.

interval interval-value

Specifies an interval at which VPWS QoS traffic statistics are displayed.

The value is an integer ranging from 2 to 600, in seconds. The default value is 10.

times times-value

Specifies the number of times that VPWS QoS traffic statistics are to be displayed.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 999. The default value is 5.

infinity

Displays VPWS QoS traffic statistics for infinite times.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The system starts to collect VPWS PW traffic statistics after the function to collect VPWS PW traffic statistics is enabled. To view these traffic statistics for network monitoring or troubleshooting purposes, run the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command.

The system starts to collect VPWS PW traffic statistics after VPWS PW traffic statistics collection is enabled. You can run the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command to view these traffic statistics during network monitoring or troubleshooting.

If VPWS QoS is also enabled, you can run the display traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command to view QoS traffic statistics about VPWS PWs.

To monitor VPWS QoS traffic statistics continuously within a certain period, run the monitor traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command. After this configuration is performed, VPWS QoS traffic statistics are displayed at a specified interval for a specified number of times.

Prerequisites

The primary VPWS PW and secondary or bypass VPWS PW have been configured on the specified interface, and the function to collect VPWS PW traffic statistics has been enabled.

Precautions

  • Running the reset traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command clears existing VPWS PW traffic statistics. To view VPWS PW traffic statistics collected during a specified period of time for the network monitoring or troubleshooting purpose, use the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw and reset traffic-statistics l2vpn pw commands together.
  • If you do not specify secondary or bypass when running the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command, the command output shows traffic statistics about the primary VPWS PW.
  • Running the reset traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command clears existing VPWS QoS traffic statistics. To view VPWS QoS traffic statistics collected during a specified period of time for the purpose of network monitoring or troubleshooting, use the display traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw and reset traffic-statistics l2vpn pw commands together.
  • If you do not specify secondary or bypass when running the display traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command, the command output shows VPWS QoS traffic statistics about the primary PW.

Name of the interface where traffic statistics is collected.

Statistics last cleared

Last time when statistics on the interface were cleared.

The value never indicates that statistics on the interface have never been cleared.

Last 300 seconds QoS statistics rate

Rates at which the interface receives bytes and packets within the last 300s.

Each time the display traffic-statistics l2vpn qos pw command is run, the rates at which the interface receives bytes and packets within the last 300s are recalculated.

Last 300 seconds input rate

Rates at which the interface receives bytes and packets within the last 300s.

Each time the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command is run, the rates at which the interface receives bytes and packets within the last 300s are recalculated.

Last 300 seconds output rate

Rates at which the interface sends bytes and packets within the last 300s.

Each time the display traffic-statistics l2vpn pw command is run, the rates at which the interface sends bytes and packets within the last 300s are recalculated.

QoS statistics output

Statistics about sent packets.

PacketRate

Packet rate in the last 300 seconds, expressed in packets/s.

BitRate

Bit rate in the last 300 seconds, expressed in bits/s.

Passed statistics

Statistics about the forwarded traffic.

Queue

Queue for traffic statistics collection.

Packets

Number of sent packets.

Bytes

Number of sent bytes.

Discarded traffic statistics

Statistics about the dropped traffic.

Input

Total numbers of bytes and packets received by a VPWS PW.

Output

Total numbers of bytes and packets sent by a VPWS PW.
