Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To check the role of a device on the network and the multicast destination MAC address of BPDUs on the device, run the display bpdu-tunnel global config command. This helps locate and analyze faults.

Item Description
BridgeRole

Role of the device on the network. It can be:

  • customer: This is the default role. The well-known destination MAC address of BPDUs generated on devices of this role is 0180-C200-0000.
  • provider: The well-known destination MAC address of BPDUs generated on devices of this role is 0180-C200-0008.
GroupMac

Multicast MAC address that replaces the well-known destination MAC address of BPDUs.
