Function

The display bfd multicast session command displays information about BFD for P2MP sessions.

Format

display bfd multicast session all

display bfd multicast session p2mp-te [ p2mp-id p2mp-id-value ingress-lsr-id ingress-lsr-id tunnel-id tunnel-id ]

display bfd multicast session mldp p2mp [ root-ip root-ip { lsp-id lsp-id | opaque-value opaque-value } ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
p2mp-te

Displays information about all BFD for P2MP sessions with the tunnel type set to MPLS TE.

p2mp-id p2mp-id-value

Specifies a P2MP ID.

The value ranges from 1 to FFFFFFFF, in hexadecimal notation.

ingress-lsr-id ingress-lsr-id

Specifies an ingress LSR ID.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

tunnel-id tunnel-id

Specifies a tunnel ID.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4294967295.

mldp

Displays MLDP information.

p2mp root-ip root-ip

Specifies the IP address of a root node on a P2MP LSP.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

lsp-id lsp-id

Specifies the ID of a root node on a P2MP LSP.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 4294967295.

opaque-value opaque-value

Specifies the opaque value of a root node on a P2MP LSP.

The value is a string of 1 to 253 characters.

all

Displays information about all BFD for P2MP sessions.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To check whether BFD for P2MP sessions are successfully established and obtain key session parameters, run the display bfd multicast session command. If there are a large number of BFD for P2MP sessions, you can specify parameters to view the corresponding session information.

Example

Item Description
State

Current status of the BFD session:

  • Up: The BFD session is in the Up state.
  • Down: The BFD session is in the Down state.
  • AdminDown: If you change the minimum transmit/receive interval, the MultiPointHead BFD session enters the AdminDown state and restarts after the timer expires.
Name

Name of the BFD session.

Local Discriminator

Local discriminator of the BFD session.

Local Detect Multi

Configured local detection multiplier.

Remote Discriminator

For a MultiPointTail BFD session, this field indicates the remote discriminator of the session.

For a MultiPointHead BFD session, the value of this field is 0.

Session Detect Mode

BFD session detection mode. The value is Asynchronous Mode Without Echo Function.

Session Description

Description of the BFD session.

Detect Interval (ms)

BFD session detection interval.

BFD Bind Type

BFD session binding type:

  • For a MultiPointHead BFD session, the value of this field is P2MP_TE_TUNNEL.
  • For a MultiPointTail BFD session, the value of this field is Peer IP Address.
Bind Session Type

BFD session establishment type:

  • For a MultiPointHead BFD session, the value of this field is Dynamic, indicates that the establishment of the BFD session is triggered dynamically.
  • For a MultiPointTail BFD session, the value of this field is Entire_Dynamic, indicating that the establishment of the BFD session is triggered entirely dynamically. For example, after the function of passively creating BFD sessions is enabled on the egress Router of the LSP, this type of BFD sessions are created.
Bind Peer IP Address

For a MultiPointTail BFD session, this field indicates the peer IP address bound to the session.

For a MultiPointHead BFD session, the value of this field is empty.

Bind Application

Application to which the BFD session is bound:

  • If the BFD session is not bound to an application, No Application Bind is displayed.
  • If the BFD session is bound to an application, the application is displayed.
Track Interface

For a MultiPointHead BFD session, this field indicates the name of the interface tracked by the session.

For a MultiPointTail BFD session, this field is not displayed.

MultiSessType

Type of the BFD for P2MP session:

  • MultiPointHead: A MultiPointHead BFD session is deployed on the root node of a multicast link.
  • MultiPointTail: A MultiPointTail BFD session is deployed on the leaf node of a multicast link.
P2MP ID

ID of the P2MP tunnel.

Tunnel ID

ID of the session over which the tunnel is established.

Ingress LSR ID

LSR ID of the ingress.

FSM Board Id

The main processing board ID of the BFD state machine.

TOS-EXP

Priority of BFD packets.

Min Tx Interval (ms)

Configured minimum interval at which BFD packets are sent.

Min Rx Interval (ms)

Configured minimum interval at which BFD packets are received.

Actual Tx Interval (ms)

Actual minimum interval at which BFD packets are sent.

Actual Rx Interval (ms)

Actual minimum interval at which BFD packets are received.

Destination Port

Destination interface number of BFD packets.

TTL

TTL of BFD packets.

Active Multi

Active detection multiplier of the BFD session.

Last Local Diagnostic

Local diagnostic reason that the BFD session last went Down:

  • Control Detection Time Expired.
  • No Diagnostic.
  • Neighbor Signaled Session Down.
  • Administratively Down.
Total UP/DOWN Session Number

Total UP/DOWN Session Number.
