Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

RRPP snooping notifies the virtual private LAN service (VPLS) network of RRPP status changes. After RRPP snooping-enabled sub-interfaces or VLANIF interfaces are bound to VSIs of the device, the VPLS network can transparently transmit RRPP protocol packets, detect the changes on the RRPP rings, and upgrade the forwarding entries to ensure that traffic is switched in time to a congestion-free path.

You can run the display rrpp snooping vsi command to view the VSI that is bound to the RRPP snooping-enabled interface.

Example

The actual command output varies according to the device. The command output here is only an example.
