Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To check information about CAR resource allocation, including the number of allocated CAR IDs and number of remaining CAR IDs, run the display car resource command. Information of each module that applies for CAR IDs is displayed.

Example

The actual command output varies according to the device. The command output here is only an example.

Inbound Allocated

Number of CAR IDs allocated to incoming packets.

If 0 is displayed, it indicates the resource usage is 0 or the resource is not supported.

Inbound Remained

Number of inbound remaining resources.

Outbound Allocated

Number of CAR IDs allocated to outgoing packets.

If 0 is displayed, it indicates the resource usage is 0 or the resource is not supported.

Outbound Remained

Number of outbound remaining resources.

4 CAR Remained

Number of remaining resources for 4 CAR resources.

Policy car

Traffic policy-based CAR, to be specific, MF classification-based CAR.

1 CAR Remained

Number of remaining resources for 1 CAR resource.

CP car

CAR for packets to be sent to the CPU.

ARP car

CAR for ARP packets.

Mirror car

CAR for mirrored packets.

MSE car

CAR for common users.

MSE family car

CAR for family users.

MSE soft-gre car

Downstream tunnel CAR for soft-GRE users.

SOC portcar

SOC interface CAR.

CarID Allocated:

CAR ID allocation on the board in slot 1.

[slot 1] CarID Allocated:
