display l2-multicast forwarding-table

Function

The display l2-multicast forwarding-table command displays information about a Layer 2 multicast forwarding table.

Format

display l2-multicast forwarding-table { { vlan vlan-id | vsi vsi-name | bd bd-id } [ verbose ] } [ [ source-address source-address ] group-address { group-address | router-group } ] [ slot slot-id ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vlan vlan-id

Displays information about a Layer 2 multicast forwarding table in a specified VLAN.

The vlan-id value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4094.

vsi vsi-name

Displays information about a Layer 2 multicast forwarding table in a specified VSI.

The vsi-name value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters.

bd bd-id

Specifies the ID of a BD in which information about the Layer 2 multicast forwarding table is to be displayed.

The bd-id value is an integer ranging from 1 to 16777215.

source-address source-address

Displays information about forwarding entries related to a specified multicast source.

The source-address value is in dotted decimal notation.

group-address group-address

Displays information about forwarding entries related to a specified multicast group.

The group-address value ranges from 224.0.1.0 to 239.255.255.255, in dotted decimal notation.

router-group

Displays information about the Layer 2 multicast forwarding tables of all router ports.

Indicates the slot number of the interface board.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If you want to check Layer 2 multicast forwarding entries during device maintenance or fault locating, run the display l2-multicast forwarding-table command to display information about a Layer 2 multicast forwarding table.

Precautions

Before you run the display l2-multicast forwarding-table command, ensure that IGMP snooping has been configured for the corresponding VLAN, BD or VSI.

The VLAN or VSI specified in the display l2-multicast forwarding-table command must be in the Up state.

Outbound interface's name of the multicast group.

Forwarding Mode

Packet forwarding mode. The current version supports IP forwarding only.

Port-cnt

Number of ports in the multicast group.

Router-port

ID of the router port multicast forwarding table.

Total Entry(s)

Number of multicast entries.

VLAN ID

ID of the VLAN in which information about the Layer 2 multicast forwarding table is displayed.

Source address

Multicast source address.

Group address

Multicast group address.

BD ID

ID of the BD.

Ports count

Number of ports in the multicast group.

Number of (S,G).
