Function

The display ppp command displays information about the PPP status.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

display ppp { user-id user-id-value | username user-name | ip-address ip-address [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] | ipv6-address ipv6-address [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] | circuit-id circuit-id | remote-id remote-id }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
user-id user-id-value

Specifies an on-line user ID.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 283467.

username user-name

Specifies a user name.

The value is a string of 1 to 253 characters.

ip-address ip-address

Specifies an IPv4 address.

This value is in dotted decimal notation.

vpn-instance vpn-instance-name

Specifies a VPN instance of a user.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. In addition, the VPN instance name must not be _public_. When double quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

ipv6-address ipv6-address

Specifies an IPv6 address.

The value is a 32-digit hexadecimal number, in the format of X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X.

circuit-id circuit-id

Specifies a link ID of a user. The ID of packets is exactly matching with the queried ID and is case sensitive.

The value is a string of 1 to 200 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

remote-id remote-id

Specifies a remote agent ID of a user. The ID of packets is exactly matching with the queried ID and is case sensitive.

The value is a string of 1 to 200 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Scenario

The display ppp command displays PPP configuration information on a specified interface.

Configuring the ui-mode type1 command in the system view influences the output format of the display command.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Item Description
User Name

Indicates the user name.

User Mac

Indicates the MAC address of the user.

User IP Type

Indicates the user access type. The value can be:

  • ipv4.
  • ipv6.
  • ipv4/ipv6.
User IP Netmask(Client)

Indicates the user requested mask.

User IP Netmask(Radius)

Indicates the mask delivered by the RADIUS server.

User IP Netmask(Result)

Indicates the mask that takes effect.

Session ID

Indicates the ID of the session between the user and the NetEngine 8000 F.

Interface

Indicates the interface connected to the user.

IP

Indicates the user IP address after negotiation. If the user is an IPv6 user, the value is -.

Gateway

Indicates the address of the gateway for the user. If the user is an IPv6 user, the value is -.

Primary DNS

Indicates the IP address of the primary DNS after user authentication. If the primary DNS is not configured, the value is -.

Second DNS

Indicates the IP address of the secondary DNS after user authentication. If the secondary DNS is not configured, the value is -.

IPv6 Interface IDType

Indicates the interface type in IPv6 access.

IPv6 Local InterfaceID

Indicates the ID of the local interface in IPv6 access. The value is - in the case of IPv4 access.

IPv6 Peer InterfaceID

Indicates the ID of the peer interface in IPv6 access. The value is - in the case of IPv4 access.

Authentication

Indicates the user authentication mode. The supported modes include:

  • PAP.
  • CHAP.
  • MSCHAPv1.
  • MSCHAPv2.
MTU

Indicates the negotiated maximum transmission unit.

MRU

Indicates the configured maximum receive unit.

MagicNumber

Indicates the magic number.

Keep Alive Time

Indicates the interval at which Hello packets are sent.

Retransmit Times

Indicates the number of Hello packet retransmissions. If no response is received after the number of Hello packet retransmissions is exceeded, the link is considered invalid.

Datacheck

Indicates traffic check for PPP users.

  • ON indicates that there is traffic sent by PPP users and Hello packets do not need to be sent.
Negotiation timer

Indicates the timeout period of PPP negotiation.

HostName

Indicates a user name for CHAP, MSCHAPv1, or MSCHAPv2 authentication.

Challenge-retry

Indicates the retry times of sending Challenge messages.

Challenge-timeout

Indicates the timeout period of sending Challenge messages.

Min-Challenge-length

Indicates the minimum length of Challenge messages.

Max-Challenge-length

Indicates the maximum length of Challenge messages.

CalledNumber

Indicates the called number in L2TP access.

CallingNumber

Indicates the calling number in L2TP access.

Lac-PeerIp

Indicates the peer IP address specified on the LAC.

Lac-PeerTunnelId

Indicates the peer tunnel ID specified on the LAC.

Lac-PeerSessionId

Indicates the peer session ID specified on the LAC.

Lac-LocalIp

Indicates the local IP address on the LAC.

Lac-LocalTunnelId

Indicates the local tunnel ID on the LAC.

Lac-LocalSessionId

Indicates the local session ID on the LAC.

Lac-SrcUDPPort

Indicates the source port on the LAC.

Lac-DstUDPPort

Indicates the destination port specified on the LAC.

Lns-PeerIp

Indicates the peer IP address specified on the LNS.

Lns-PeerTunnelId

Indicates the peer tunnel ID specified on the LNS.

Lns-PeerSessionId

Indicates the peer session ID specified on the LNS.

Lns-LocalIp

Indicates the local IP address on the LNS.

Lns-LocalTunnelId

Indicates the local tunnel ID on the LNS.

Lns-LocalSessionId

Indicates the local session ID on the LNS.

Lns-SrcUDPPort

Indicates the source port on the LNS.

Indicates the destination port specified on the LNS.

Indicates the VPI number.

VCI

Indicates the VCI number.

Indicates the outer VLAN tag.
