Item Description
Interface

Interface on which the hard pipe function is configured.

Ability

The hard pipe mode can be one of the following:

  • E: indicates the exclusive mode.
  • S: indicates the shared mode.
  • N: indicates no hard pipe capability.
  • U: indicates unknown hard pipe capability. U is displayed when an Eth-Trunk has no member interfaces. You can configure the shared mode in this case. Once the shared mode is configured, the system checks whether an interface has the hard pipe capability before adding it to the Eth-Trunk. If the interface has no hard pipe capability, the system does not add the interface to the Eth-Trunk.
  • M: indicates that the member interfaces supporting hard pipe must be separated from those not supporting hard pipe. If an Eth-Trunk interface has both member interfaces supporting hard pipe and not supporting hard pipe, the Eth-Trunk member interfaces must be separated.
