Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If no parameter is configured, the display mpls lsp command displays information about all LSPs.

If BGP LSPs load-balance traffic, this command output contains only optimal outbound interface information of routes. To query all outbound interface information used in BGP LSP ECMP, query the BGP or IP routing table.

Example

The actual command output varies according to the device. The command output here is only an example.

Table 1 Description of the display mpls lsp command output
Item Description
LSP Information:

Information about various types of LSPs.

  • LDP LSP: created using LDP.
  • BGP LSP: created using BGP based on private IPv4 BGP routes.
  • L3VPN LSP: created using BGP based on received VPNv4 routes.
  • BGP IPv6 LSP: created using BGP based on private IPv6 BGP routes.
  • EVPN L3VPN LSP: created using BGP based on IP prefix routes received by EVPN.
No

Sequence number of an LSP.

SessionID

Session ID of a CR-LSP.

IngressLsrID

Ingress LSR ID of a CR-LSP.

LocalLspID

Local LSP ID of a CR-LSP.

Tunnel-Interface

Tunnel interface.

Type

Type of LSP. The value for an LDP LSP can be:

  • Primary.
  • Backup.
  • Backup_RLFA.
  • RLFA.
  • Backup_TILFA.

The value for an RSVP LSP can be:

  • Main.
  • Detour.
Nexthop

Next hop address.

In-Label

Value of an incoming label.

Out-Label

Value of an outgoing label.

In-Interface

Name of an inbound interface.

Out-Interface

Name of an outbound interface.

LspIndex

Index of an LSP.

Token

LSP token, guiding the packet forwarding.

LsrType

Role of an LSR on an LSP:

  • Ingress.
  • Transit.
  • Egress.
Mpls-Mtu

Maximum transmission unit (MTU) of an interface of an LSP.

LspAge

Time elapsed since an LSP was set up.

Entropy Label Flag

Whether the entropy label function is enabled, which is the negotiation result of the ingress and egress of an RSVP-TE LSP.

Label Operation

Operations on labels:

  • PUSH.
  • SWAP.
  • POP.

This value is available only for non-CR-LSPs.

VrfIndex

Index of a VPN instance. This value is available only for non-CR-LSPs.

OutSegmentIndex

OutSegment index.

Outgoing TunnelType

Type of the tunnel to which an LSP is iterated.

Outgoing TunnelID

ID of the tunnel to which the LSP is iterated.

Ingress-ELC

Flag indicating whether the entropy label delivery capability is enabled. After the negotiation between the ingress and egress of an LDP LSP succeeds, the ingress delivers the entropy label. This flag is enabled only when the egress has the entropy label capability and the entropy label function is enabled for the current LSP.

FEC

Indicates the forwarding equivalence class. Usually, the value is the destination address and mask for an LSP.

In/Out Label

Indicates the values of the incoming and outgoing labels.

In/Out IF

Indicates the names of the inbound and outbound interfaces.

Vrf Name

Indicates the name of a VPN instance.
