Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To view information about RSVP-TE LSPs monitored by BFD, run the display mpls bfd session protocol rsvp-te command. The command output includes the destination address and outbound interface name of a RSVP-TE LSP, the local discriminator of the dynamic BFD session, and the status of an MPLS BFD session.

Object that a BFD session monitors:

  • LDP LSP.
  • TE tunnel.
  • LDP tunnel.
  • BGP Tunnel.
TUNNEL

Tunnel type.

FEC

Forwarding equivalence class value.

DISC

Local discriminator of a BFD session.

OUT IF

Name of an outbound interface.

NEXTHOP

IP address of the next hop.

STATE

Status of an MPLS BFD session:

  • Up: The BFD session is Up.
  • Down: The BFD session is Down.
  • AdminDown: The administrator manually closes the BFD session.
  • Init: The BFD session is in the Initial state.
