dns-server(IPv6 address pool view)

Function

The dns-server command binds a DNS server to an IPv6 address pool by an IPv6 address.

The undo dns-server command deletes the binding between a DNS server and an IPv6 address pool.

By default, a DNS server is not bound to an IPv6 address pool by an IPv6 address.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dns-server ipv6-address &<1-2>

undo dns-server ipv6-address &<1-2>

Specifies the IPv6 address of a DNS server.

The address is a 32-digit hexadecimal number.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Through this command specifies a DNS server for users allocated IP addresses in a specified address pool.

A maximum of two DNS servers can be bound to an IPv6 address pool by IPv6 addresses.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Bind the DNS server whose IPv6 address is 2001:db8:1::1 to an IPv6 address pool named pool1.
