Function

The dns command specifies a DNS server for the current domain.

The undo dns command removes the DNS server from the current domain.

By default, a domain has no DNS server.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dns primary-ip ip-address

dns second-ip ip-address

undo dns primary-ip

undo dns second-ip

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
ip-address

Specifies the IP address of the DNS server.

It is in the dotted decimal format and must be a valid unicast address.

second-ip

Sets the secondary DNS server.

primary-ip

Sets the primary DNS server.
