The undo echo-timeout count command restores the default configuration.

By default, the timeout threshold for CUSP connection heartbeat detection is 5.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To specify the number of echo-request packet sending times used to determine whether the heartbeat of a CUSP channel is lost, run the echo-timeout command. If the heartbeat detection times out for countval consecutive times, the CUSP channel is disconnected.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

  • In a single-CUSP deployment scenario, the default value of 150s (30s x 5) is used. If the value is less than 150s, a UPMNG switchover or increased CPU usage will lead to increase the risks of an incorrect down event.
  • In scenarios where CUSP disconnect needs to be rapidly detected, such as a hot backup scenario, you are advised to deploy CUSP (3s x 10) and BFD (1s x 30, with the packet precedence of 7) concurrently.
