Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To specify the number of echo-request packet sending times used to determine whether the heartbeat of a CUSP channel is lost, run the echo-timeout command.If the heartbeat detection times out for countval consecutive times, the CUSP channel is disconnected.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

In a single-CUSP deployment scenario, the default value of 150s (30s x 5) is used. If the value is less than 150s, a UPMNG switchover or increased CPU usage will lead to increase the risks of an incorrect down event.
In scenarios where CUSP disconnect needs to be rapidly detected, such as a hot backup scenario, you are advised to deploy CUSP (3s x 10) and BFD (1s x 30, with the packet precedence of 7) concurrently.
