Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After EFM OAM is enabled globally, to make the configured information take effect, you must run the efm enable command to enable EFM OAM on an interface.

Prerequisites

EFM OAM has been globally enabled using the efm enable (system view) command in the system view.

Configuration Impact

  • After EFM OAM is enabled on an interface, the interface begins to send OAM PDUs for point-to-point EFM link detection.
  • After the undo efm enable command is run to disable EFM OAM on an interface, the interface stops sending or receiving OAM PDUs to stop point-to-point EFM link detection.

Precautions

EFM OAM enters the link detection phase only when EFM OAM is enabled on both the local and remote interfaces.

Example

# Enable EFM OAM on GE 0/1/0.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] efm enable
