The snmp-agent set-cache enable command enables the SET Response message caching function.
The undo snmp-agent set-cache enable command disables the SET Response message caching function.
By default, the SET Response message caching function is disabled.
If you perform a SET operation using an NMS to set parameters of a device, a device sends SET Response messages to the NMS. SET Response messages may be dropped if the number of SNMP messages on a network exceeds the processing capability of the NMS. To enable the SET Response message caching function to minimize the loss of SET Response messages, run the snmp-agent set-cache enable command.
