Function

The timer end-x update-delay command configures a delay for sending the static End.X SID to the FES table.

The undo timer end-x update-delay command restores the default configuration.

By default, the static End.X SID is sent to the FES table immediately.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

You can run the timer end-x update-delay command to configure a delay for sending the static End.X SID to the FES table. This command is mainly used when the status of the outbound interface associated with a static End.X SID changes from Down to Up.

For example, if a neighbor fails, the local interface connected to the neighbor goes Down, and the End.X SID associated with the local interface becomes invalid.

If the fault on the neighboring device is rectified but route convergence is not complete, the neighboring device may not have the forwarding capability. To prevent traffic from being forwarded to neighbors and causing packet loss, you can run this command to configure a delay for sending the static End.X SID to the FES table.
