esi (VSI-LDP-PW view)

Function

The esi command configures an Ethernet segment identifier (ESI) in the VSI-LDP-PW view.

The undo esi command deletes an ESI in the VSI-LDP-PW view.

By default, no ESI is configured in the VSI-LDP-PW view.

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
esi

Specifies an ESI.

The value is in the format of xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx, where x is a hexadecimal number ranging from 0 to F. The value of esi must start with 00 and cannot be all 0s.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In a VPLS and EVPN MPLS interworking scenario, to allow Ethernet Segment routes and Ethernet A-D routes to be transmitted over an EVPN, run the esi command in the VSI-LDP-PW view to configure an ESI for the access side of the EVPN.
