Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The ring-id value specifies the dual-homing ID of a ring network. Two devices with the same ring ID are considered as two dual-homing PEs on the same ring network. During route advertisement between PEs, the ring ID carried in routes helps the PEs detect the connections on the same ring network.

Precautions

The ring-id is the dual-homing ID on a ring network. Therefore, the same ring ID cannot be configured on interfaces of a PE.

Example

# Configure a ring id.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0
[~HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/1/0] evpn stp-ring-id 100
