Usage Scenario
To enable a Router interface that connects to user hosts to process IGMP messages, run the igmp enable command to enable IGMP on the interface. IGMP must be enabled both on user hosts and Router interfaces that connect to the user hosts.
Prerequisites
The multicast routing function has been enabled using the multicast routing-enable command in the public network instance view or VPN instance view.
Configuration Impact
IGMP parameters that are configured on an interface before IGMP is enabled on this interface take effect only after the igmp enable command is run on the interface.
Precautions
During an upgrade in CFG mode, if the igmp enable command is run on the interface connected to users, the pim sm command is automatically run on the interface to prevent traffic forwarding failures.
After the undo igmp enable command is run in the VBDIF interface view, the Layer 2 multicast configuration in the BD is also deleted.
