Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

IGMP snooping is deployed in a BD in an EVPN dual-homing scenario. To implement fast convergence after a fault occurs on the access side, PEs in the non-DF state also need to advertise BGP EVPN SMET routes carrying Layer 2 multicast information to pre-import multicast traffic. To meet this requirement, run the igmp-snooping signal-ignore-df enable command to enable the DF status ignoring function in BDs of the PEs in the non-DF state.

Traffic is switched back in a dual-homing scenario. Therefore, you must run this command on the PEs in both the DF and non-DF states to implement fast convergence during the switchback.

Prerequisites

The evpn binding vpn-instance command has been run in a BD.

Example
