remote-id (IKE peer view)

Function

The remote-id command configures the remote ID for an IKE peer.

The undo remote-id command cancels the configuration.

By default, the remote ID for an IKE peer is not configured.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

remote-id remote-id

undo remote-id

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
remote-id

Indicates the ID of the peer.

It is a string of 1 to 255 case sensitive characters.

Usage Guidelines

Do not run this command if the IKE peer ID is in the IP address format.

Example

# Configure the peer ID of the IKE peer peer1 to huawei100.
