ipv6-pool warning-threshold

Function

The ipv6-pool warning-threshold command sets an alarm threshold for the address usage of the IPv6 address pools bound to a VPN instance so that the device generates an alarm when the IPv6 address usage reaches the threshold.

The undo ipv6-pool warning-threshold command restores the default configuration.

By default, the alarm threshold for the address usage of an IPv6 address pool is 80%.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

ipv6-pool warning-threshold threshold

undo ipv6-pool warning-threshold threshold

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
threshold

Specifies an alarm threshold for the IPv6 address usage, in percentage. For example, the value 80 indicates that the device generates an alarm when the address usage of the IPv6 address pool reaches 80%.The value 0 indicates that the alarm function is disabled.

The value is an integer ranges from 0 to 100.

Usage Scenario

To set an alarm threshold for the address usage of the IPv6 address pools bound to a VPN instance, run the ipv6-pool warning-threshold command so that the device generates an alarm when the IPv6 address usage reaches the threshold. This prompts the administrator to plan addresses to prevent user login failures due to address exhaustion.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
