Function

The ipv6 nd redirect enable command enables IPv6 neighbor redirection function.

The undo ipv6 nd redirect enable command disables IPv6 neighbor redirection function.

By default, the IPv6 neighbor redirection function is disabled.

Usage Scenario

If this function is enabled, the ND protocol stack sending IPv6 neighbor redirection message to the device.

Precautions

Enabling IPv6 redirection lowers the performance of IPv6 Layer 3 forwarding.
IPv6 redirection cannot be configured in the view of QinQ termination interface, QinQ sub-interface for VLAN tag termination, dot1q termination interface, dot1q sub-interface for VLAN tag termination, VLANIF interface, or BDIF.
