Function

The layer3-subscriber ipv4 vpn-instance switch enable command enables dynamic VPN instance switching for Layer 3 static users.

The undo layer3-subscriber ipv4 vpn-instance switch enable command disables dynamic VPN instance switching for Layer 3 static users.

By default, dynamic VPN instance switching is not enabled for Layer 3 static users.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To allow the system to use the VPN instance delivered by the RADIUS server or through a CoA message for Layer 3 static users, run the layer3-subscriber vpn-instance switch enable command.

After this command is run, the HW-VPN-Instance attribute delivered through a RADIUS authentication response packet or CoA message is applied to Layer 3 static users. If export host-route is configured, routes will be advertised after the VPN instance is changed for Layer 3 static users.

Precautions

The layer3-subscriber vpn-instance switch enable command takes effect only for subsequent Layer 3 static users.
