load-balance identify entropy-label

Function

The load-balance identify entropy-label command enables the LSR to parse IP packets deeply.

The undo load-balance identify entropy-label command disables the LSR from parsing IP packets deeply.

By default, the LSR does not deeply parse IP packets.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After the entropy label function is enabled on the LSR, the LSR uses IP header information to generate an entropy label and adds the label to the packets. The entropy label is used as a key value by a transit node to load-balance traffic. If the length of a data frame carried in a packet exceeds the parsing capability, the LSR fails to parse the IP header or generate an entropy label. To prevent such a failure, run the load-balance identify entropy-label command to enable the LSR to deeply parse IP packets to obtain the IP header information for load balancing.

Precautions

This command applies only to the Admin-VS.
