Function

The activate aaa local-user command unlocks the specified local user account.

Format

activate aaa local-user user-name

The value is a string of 1 to 253 case-insensitive characters without spaces.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When a user account is locked because the number of successive authentication failure exceeds the upper limit set by the user-block failed-times command, the activate command can be used to unlock the user account.

When a user account is expired, the administrator can use the activate command to unlock the user account.

Precautions

After a local user is unlocked and the user name is used for login but the entered password is incorrect, the system still displays a message indicating that the user account is locked.
