{ map-t | map-e } instance

Function

The instance command creates a MAP-T or a MAP-E instance and displays the MAP-T OR MAP-E instance view.

The undo instance command deletes a MAP-T instance or a MAP-E instance.

By default, no MAP-T or MAP-E instance is configured in the system.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

{ map-t | map-e } instance instance-name [ id id ]

undo { map-t | map-e } instance instance-name [ id id ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
instance instance-name

Specifies the name of a MAP instance.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 characters.

id id

Specifies a global index of a MAP instance.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4095.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To create a MAP instance, run the map-instance command:

  • If this command is run for the first time, a MAP instance is created, and the MAP instance view is displayed.
  • If a MAP instance already exists, the MAP instance view is displayed.

Precautions

MAP-T and MAP-E instances can be created. The total number of both instances is 64 on a device.

# Create a MAP-T instance named test and numbered 111 and enter the MAP-T instance view.
