Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In mLDP In-Band MVPN scenarios, the Connector attribute in compatible mode carries the RD and IP address (MVPN ID) of the headend device.

When the multicast bgp-connector compatible command is run and an MVPN ID is configured, the Connector attribute (RD:IP) in compatible mode is sent to the remote MP-BGP peer through BGP.

When the multicast bgp-connector compatible command is disabled and an MVPN ID is configured, the Connector attribute in compatible mode is withdrawn, and the extended community attribute is sent to the remote MP-BGP peer through BGP.

Example

# Enable connector attribute compatibility in a VPN instance vrf1.
