Function

The mep alarm ais disable command disables the alarm reporting function.

The undo mep alarm ais disable command enables the alarm reporting function.

By default, the alarm reporting function is enabled.

Format

mep mep-id mep-id alarm ais disable

undo mep mep-id mep-id alarm ais disable

Parameters

mep-id mep-id	Specifies the ID of a MEP that generates an alarm. The ID identifies a MEP. The ID of each MEP on a device in the same MA, VLAN, or VSI must be unique.	The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 8191.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When an NMS maintains multiple MEPs, the NMS provides MEP-based alarm control to prevent massive RDI and AIS alarms from being reported. To alleviate the burden for the NMS and device to process massive alarms, run the mep alarm disable command to disable the alarm reporting function.

Prerequisites

1.An MD has been created using the cfm md command.

2.An MA has been created using the ma command.

3.A MEP has been created using the mep mep-id command.

Example

# Disable the RDI alarm reporting function on MEP 1 in the MA named ma1 of the MD named md1.
