Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The IS-IS micro-isolation CAR function is enabled by default. This function protects IS-IS packets based on interfaces and destination MAC addresses to protect session establishment. You can run the micro-isolation protocol-car isis disable command to disable IS-IS micro-isolation protection based on the interface and destination MAC address. When IS-IS packets flood, a large number of packets from non-IS-IS neighbors may preempt the bandwidth between interfaces. When an attack occurs, a large number of invalid packets sent to other MAC addresses may preempt the bandwidth. Therefore, you are advised not to disable this function.
