Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The maximum response time determines the period during which the device quickly checks whether there are directly connected members in the LAN.

If the maximum response time is configured in both the interface view and the MLD view, the system prefers the value configured in the interface view.

Example

# Set the maximum response time to 8 seconds on GE 0/1/0.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] multicast ipv6 routing-enable
[*HUAWEI] interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0
[*HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/1/0] ipv6 enable
[*HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/1/0] mld max-response-time 8
