Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When a multicast source no longer sends multicast data flows, the source needs to be deleted. This requires constant probes on whether the source sends multicast data flows, deteriorating system performance. To address this problem, run the l2-multicast ipv6 source-lifetime command to set the aging time for entries of multicast traffic in a specified VLAN/VSI.

Example

# Set the aging time to 100s for entries of multicast traffic in VLAN 100.
