Function

The mpls l2vpn qos cir command configures PW QoS parameters.

The undo mpls l2vpn qos cir command deletes PW QoS parameter settings.

By default, PW QoS parameters are not configured.

Format

mpls l2vpn qos cir cir-value [ pir pir-value ] [ qos-profile qos-profile-name ] [ secondary | bypass ]

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
pir pir-value	Specifies the Peak Information Rate (PIR) for a PW.	The value is 0 or an integer ranging from 16 to 4294967294, in kbit/s. If you do not specify pir pir-value, the pir-value value is equal to the cir-value value. If you want to specify pir pir-value, ensure that the pir-value value is greater than or equal to the cir-value value. pir-value and cir-value cannot be both 0s. If the cir-value value is 0, you must specify pir-value.
qos-profile qos-profile-name	Specifies the name of the referenced PW template.	The value is a string of 1 to 63 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. The character string can contain spaces if it is enclosed with double quotation marks (") when being entered.
secondary	Applies QoS parameters to the secondary PW.	-
bypass	Applies QoS parameters to the bypass PW.	-
cir cir-value	Specifies the Committed Information Rate (CIR) for a PW.	The value is 0 or an integer ranging from 16 to 4294967294, in kbit/s.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When multiple VPN services share the same tunnel, bandwidth preemption occurs among these VPN services. Non-VPN traffic also preempts the bandwidth of VPN traffic. As a result, VPN traffic cannot be forwarded or dropped strictly based on service priorities.

VPWS QoS ensures the VPWS services carried over a tunnel to have their resource requirements met without affecting the service quality of other VPNs. To configure QoS parameters for SS-PWs, run the mpls l2vpn qos command. After the mpls l2vpn qos command is configured, VPWS PWs carry service packets based on specified bandwidth.

Prerequisites

VPWS PWs have been configured.

Precautions

The mpls l2vpn qos command applies only to VPWS SS-PWs.
