mpls te metric inherit-igp

Function

The mpls te metric inherit-igp command uses an IGP metric as the metric of a TE tunnel.

The undo mpls te metric inherit-igp command restores the default configuration.

By default, no IGP metric is used as the metric of a TE tunnel.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After a P2P RSVP-TE tunnel is established, to enable the TE tunnel to inherit an IGP metric, run the mpls te metric inherit-igp command. With this command, the tunnel cost is reported to the tunnel manager:

If the mpls te igp metric absolute command is run to set an absolute IGP metric, this value is used as the TE tunnel cost.
If no absolute IGP metric is set, the cost of the IGP route destined for the tunnel destination address is subscribed to and used as a TE tunnel cost.
If the mpls te metric inherit-igp command is not run, the TE tunnel cost of 0 is reported to the tunnel manager.
