multicast ipv6 mvpn ipv6-underlay

Function

The multicast ipv6 mvpn ipv6-underlay command configures an MVPN IPv6 ID.

The undo multicast ipv6 mvpn ipv6-underlay command deletes an MVPN IPv6 ID.

By default, no MVPN IPv6 ID is configured.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To configure an MVPN IPv6 ID, run the multicast ipv6 mvpn ipv6-underlay command. The MVPN IPv6 ID is the IP address of the start PE. An MVPN IPv6 ID has the following functions:

Specifies the value of the Originator router's IP address field in an A-D route.
Is used as the value of the Administrator field in the VRF Route Import Extended Community attribute carried in EVPN routes. If the multicast ipv6 mvpn ipv6-underlay command is not run, a PE does not send A-D routes and EVPN routes do not carry the VRF Route Import Extended Community attribute.
