The multicast mvpn command sets an MVPN ID for a VPN instance in the IPv4 address family view, that is, an IP address for the originator PE in an MVPN instance.
The undo multicast mvpn command deletes the MVPN ID of a VPN instance.
By default, no MVPN ID is set for a VPN instance.
Usage Scenario
To set an MVPN ID for a VPN instance in the IPv4 address family view, that is, an IP address for the originator PE in an MVPN instance, run the multicast mvpn command. After the command is run, the originator PE uses the specified MVPN ID, not the global MVPN ID, to apply for tunnel resources.
The specified MVPN ID works with static routes to generate P2MP mLDP LSPs, implementing NG MVPN 1+1 node protection.Precautions
Configuration guidelines for MVPN IDs are as follows:
The MVPN ID of the user-end device of an RSVP-TE P2MP tunnel must be equal to an MPLS LSR ID. The MVPN ID of an mLDP P2MP tunnel can be a valid unicast address, excluding 0.0.0.x and loopback addresses 127.x.x.x. Using an MPLS LSR ID as an MVPN ID is recommended. If the multicast mvpn command is not run in the VPN instance IPv4 address family view, the MVPN ID specified in the system view is used. If MVPN IDs are specified in both the system view and VPN instance IPv4 address family view, only the MVPN ID specified in the VPN instance IPv4 address family view takes effect.<HUAWEI> system-view [~HUAWEI] ip vpn-instance vpn1 [*HUAWEI-vpn-instance-vpn1] route-distinguisher 1:2 [*HUAWEI-vpn-instance-vpn1-af-ipv4] multicast routing-enable [*HUAWEI-vpn-instance-vpn1-af-ipv4] multicast mvpn 2.2.2.2
