nat gratuitous-arp send auto

Function

The nat gratuitous-arp send auto command enables a device to send gratuitous ARP packets.

The undo nat gratuitous-arp send auto command disables a device from sending gratuitous ARP packets.

The function is disabled by default.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When a CGN public IP address and the public network-side interface address are on the same network segment and the CGN cold backup status changes, to rapidly update ARP information, run the nat gratuitous-arp send auto command on a network-side interface to send gratuitous ARP packets once the interface goes Up.

Precautions

This function can be configured on a maximum of 256 interfaces. This function cannot be configured on QinQ termination sub-interfaces, dot1q termination sub-interfaces, super VLAN interfaces, and flexible access sub-interfaces.
