ntp-service disable

Function

The ntp-service disable command disables the IPv4 NTP function.

The undo ntp-service disable command enables the IPv4 NTP function.

By default, the NTP function is enabled.

Format

ntp-service [ ipv6 ] disable

undo ntp-service [ ipv6 ] disable

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

You can run this command in the system view to disable the NTP function. Disabling the NTP function does not delete existing configurations. This command can be used in the following two situations:

  • The device does not need to synchronize with the clock of an external server or peer.
  • The device does not need to provide a reference clock source for external clients.

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
