ospf ldp-sync multi-area

Function

The ospf ldp-sync multi-area command enables LDP-OSPF synchronization on a multi-area adjacency interface.

The undo ospf ldp-sync multi-area command disables LDP-OSPF synchronization on a multi-area adjacency interface.

By default, LDP-OSPF synchronization is disabled on multi-area adjacency interfaces.

Format

ospf ldp-sync multi-area { area-id | area-id }

undo ospf ldp-sync multi-area { area-id | area-id }

Parameters

area-id	Specifies the ID of an OSPF area.	The value can be a decimal integer ranging from 0 to 4294967295 or in the format of an IP address.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

LDP-OSPF synchronization minimizes the impact of a traffic interruption that may occur on a network with primary and backup LSPs by restricting the interruption to the millisecond level.

Prerequisites

The ospf enable multi-area command has been run.

Precautions

To display synchronization information about interfaces on which LDP-OSPF synchronization is configured, run the display ospf ldp-sync interface command.
