hop-limit (MPLS TE P2P template view)

Function

The hop-limit command sets the maximum number of hops on a P2P TE tunnel in a P2P TE tunnel template.

The undo hop-limit command restores the default hop limit.

By default, the maximum number of hops on a P2P TE tunnel is 32.

Specifies the maximum number of hops that a P2P TE tunnel supports.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 32.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To set the maximum number of hops on a P2P TE tunnel established using a P2P TE tunnel template, run the hop-limit command. With this limit, a device excludes paths with less than 32 hops when selecting a path for a P2P TE tunnel.

Prerequisites

A P2P TE tunnel template has been configured using the mpls te p2p-template command.

# Create a P2P TE tunnel template named Template1 and set the hop limit to 20 in the template view.
