peer-backup ttl

Function

The peer-backup ttl command configures the maximum number of hops for a protection tunnel packet.

The undo peer-backup ttl command deletes the maximum number of hops configured for a protection tunnel packet.

The default maximum number of hops is 0 for a protection tunnel packet.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

peer-backup ttl ttl-value

undo peer-backup ttl ttl-value

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
ttl-value

Specifies the maximum number of hops for a protection tunnel packet.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 15. The value 0 indicates that the maximum number of hops for a protection tunnel packet is not changed.

Usage Scenario

To prevent protection tunnel traffic flapping, run the peer-backup ttl command to configure the maximum number of hops for a protection tunnel packet.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Set the maximum number of hops for a protection tunnel packet to 5.
