cmp request entity

Function

The cmp request entity command configures an entity name to be used by a device to request a certificate through CMPv2.

The undo cmp request entity command cancels the configuration.

By default, no entity name is configured to be used by a device to request a certificate through CMPv2.

Format

cmp request entity entity-name

undo cmp request entity

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
entity-name

Specifies an entity name to be used by a device to request a certificate through CMPv2.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When applying for a certificate, you need to specify the entity name to be used.

Prerequisites

The entity name you specify must be the name of the entity created using the pki entity command.

# Set the entity name to be used by a device to apply for a certificate through CMPv2 to entity1.
