Function

The fqdn command sets the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the entity.

The undo email command deletes the FQDN of the entity.

By default, no domain name exists for the entity.

Format

fqdn fqdn-name

undo fqdn

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
fqdn-name

Indicates the FQDN of the entity.

It is a string of 1 to 31 case sensitive characters. Except the question mark (?) and space. However, when double quotation marks (") are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

Usage Scenario

fqdn-name is used to describe an entity.

The FQDN, as the unique ID of the entity on the network, is composed of the host name and domain name, and can be resolved into the IP address. For example: www.user.com.

# Set the FQDN of the entity to test.xyz.com.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] pki entity entity1
[*HUAWEI-pki-entity-entity1] fqdn test.xyz.com
