Function

The poison-reverse enable command enables IP FRR poison reverse.

The undo poison-reverse enable command disables IP FRR poison reverse.

By default, IP FRR poison reverse is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

On an IP ring network with IP FRR, the poison-reverse enable command is used to prevent instantaneous traffic storms caused by the route convergence. For configurations details, see Configuration-BGP/MPLS IP VPN Configuration-Configuring Private Network IP FRR.

Configuration Impact

After you enable poison reverse, inter-VLAN proxy ARP does not take effect.

Precautions

In load balancing scenarios, poison reverse does not take effect.
