stp tc-notify bridge-domain(100GE interface view)

Function

The stp tc-notify bridge-domain command enables a main interface to instruct the VSI bound to a bridge domain to update ARP and MAC entries after receiving an STP TC-BPDU.

The undo stp tc-notify bridge-domain command disables the topology change (TC) notification function on an interface.

By default, an interface does not instruct its BD-bound VSI to update ARP and MAC entries after receive STP TC BPDUs.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Generally, if the topology of an Ethernet ring connected to an EVPN changes and the device interface enabled with STP TC BPDU snooping snoops STP TC BPDUs, the spanning tree is recalculated, causing all devices on the ring to update ARP and MAC entries. However, the BD-VSI cannot be instructed to update ARP and MAC entries. To address this issue, run the command on the interface to enable the interface to instruct its BD-bound VSI to update ARP and MAC entries after the interface snoops STP TC BPDUs.

Prerequisites

The stp enable command has been run.

Example

# Enable GE 0/1/1 to instruct its BD-bound VSI to update ARP and MAC entries after the interface snoops STP TC BPDUs.
